The Opportunity
As we scale to impact 1 million learners, we need an Instructional Designer to create transformative learning experiences that actually work for African learners. You'll ensure our digital courses deliver real skills and employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design (50%)
• Develop engaging, mobile-first course content for diverse African learners
• Apply evidence-based instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM)
• Create interactive learning activities and assessments
• Ensure content aligns with competency frameworks and labor market needs
Content Development (30%)
• Transform subject matter expertise into effective digital learning
• Design storyboards, scripts, and learning assets
• Collaborate with media team on multimedia elements
• Localize global content for African contexts
Quality Assurance (20%)
• Conduct user testing and iterate based on feedback
• Analyze learning metrics to improve effectiveness
• Maintain our "Learn-Earn-Thrive" quality standards
• Train facilitators on course delivery
Who We're Looking For
Must-Have Qualifications
✔ 3+ years in instructional design (edtech or corporate L&D preferred)
✔ Portfolio demonstrating effective digital learning solutions
✔ Expertise in adult learning theories and assessment design
✔ Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate)
