Job Summary:
iLearnAfrica is looking for a dynamic and creative Content Manager to lead our content strategy and drive engagement across digital and traditional platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing content that aligns with our mission to empower learners through innovative education solutions. You will work closely with the marketing, design, and product teams to produce compelling content that enhances brand visibility and supports business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a data-driven content strategy to promote iLearnAfrica’s educational programs, courses, and initiatives.
Create, edit, and manage high-quality content for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Ensure all content is SEO-optimized, culturally relevant, and tailored to our target audience in Africa.
Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent publishing and alignment with marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and educators to produce engaging multimedia content (videos, infographics, webinars, etc.).
Monitor content performance using Google Analytics, social media insights, and SEO tools, refining strategies for maximum impact.
Stay updated on digital marketing trends, SEO best practices, and educational industry developments.
Manage content distribution across social media, email, partnerships, and paid advertising channels.
Work with internal teams to ensure content supports student recruitment, course promotions, and brand awareness.
Oversee freelance writers, contributors, or agencies (if applicable).
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Education, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or content management (experience in edtech, education, or NGO sectors is a plus).
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with fluency in English (knowledge of local languages is an advantage).
Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and content optimization tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics).
Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Moodle, etc.) and social media management tools.
Knowledge of email marketing automation (Mailchimp, HubSpot) and lead generation strategies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and improve content performance.
Creative, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in education, e-learning, or digital literacy initiatives.
Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing.
Experience managing a team or external content contributors.
